ZRINKA Durut, pianist and organist

was born in Slavonski Brod (Croatia) in a family of musicians. At the age of nine she started to play the piano at music school in her hometown in the class of Bozena Matosevic. She continued her musical education at Franjo Kuhac Music Highschool in Osijek with professor Grlica Alic. During that period Zrinka started to intensively prepare for the piano studies at the Music Academy in Zagreb, which she successfully completed in the class of well known pianist and teacher professor Ida Gamulin in June 2006. 
During her musical education Zrinka Durut attended numerous master classes of renowned international piano pedagogues ( Peter Eicher, On Mitani, Laszlo Baranjay, Heinz Medjimorec) and gave many solo performances in Croatia , Hungary and Switzerland .

The desire to continue her education leads her in 2006 to Switzerland, where she starts her Master Performance studies at the Zurich Academy of the Arts in the class of professor Karl - Andreas Kolly . 
She has won two scholarships: Alfred and Berta Zangger - Weber and Dr. Max Husmann Foundation.

After graduating in 2009, Zrinka continued to study organ also at the Zurich Academy of the Arts with professor Andreas Jost. She completed her Master Performance in Organ with highest grades in 2013. Her repertoire in both instrumentes includes baroque, classical, romantic and 20th century pieces. Zrinka is particulary interested in contemporary compositions, improvisation and chamber music. Currently she lives in Zurich, organizes and plays concerts as a freelancer and works as a piano teacher and organist.
